Free Service if used with PayPro Platform

PayPro Passport is part of the full featured PayPro Platform.

PayPro Passport activation process is initiated upon a successful purchase of a software product using PayPro Passport licensing solution. Where such a purchase occurs, the following steps take place:

  1. A unique license key is generated for the purchased products. If the user purchased more than one product, the seller can choose whether to create one multiple-use license for all the copies, or one single-user license for every copy.
  2. The license key and the download link is sent to the user, as part of the purchase confirmation email.
  3. The user installs the software as usual.
  4. Upon first activation (or activation of a license restricted feature), the software requests the user to input his or hers unique license key. This should be implemented by the software manufacturer as part of the software’s UI (example code is available).
  5. The user’s license key along with user email is sent to the PayPro Server for validation. The server checks if the key is valid, and returns information about the key (e.g. total number of installs, amount of used installs, the full name of the user). If the number of installs exceeds the number of bought licenses then the software will inform the user about this issue.
  6. Upon a successful validation, the software is activated (using the software manufacturer’s code) and can be used by the user. Optionally (recommended) the software can inform PayPro of the activation, and the number of recorded activations will be increased by one.
